Pit-Stop is the working title for my very own web-based, online, multiplayer motor-racing strategy game. I've now been working on this project for around two years and it's getting close to be ready for alpha testing, around 90% of the coding has been done.I'm now wanting to recruit people willing to test the game and offer comments, suggestions etc, if you're interested then pleae visit the forums. I expect alpha testing will commence sometime in summer of 2006. This game is not dead, I've still got the determination to finish it.

Once the game is ready (I'm aiming for an alpha release towards the end of 2006 or early 2007) it will be a free to play, browser based, multi-player, strategy game. The aim will be that you, as team boss (and a driver if you like) will take control of your very own motor-racing team and lead them to World Championship glory. Along the way you'll be able to evaluate and negotiate contracts with drivers, arrange sponsorship deals, research and develop improvements to your cars and then decide on a cunning race-strategy, before watching the race unfold before your eyes in real-time. The game will take the best elements from a variety of different racing formulae and I will be improving the game based on player feedback.

Thanks to Wayne Britcliffe for the excellent Pitstop logo and also thanks to Jean-Yves Rouffiac and Shendemiar for helping me with the coding and keeping my sanity(ish)

Latest: A monumental day, the first race was run, albeit 2 laps with only 6 cars and nobody but me watching it!

21st Feb 2008: I've not forgotten about this and hope to resume working on it shortly.
